Today we write from Port Hedland staying with Dave Geijsman (Peter and Suzanne's nephew). It was great to enjoy a shower after three days in the bush. Last night we travelled on a four wheel drive track to camp at the beautiful Kalgan Pool north of Newman. It was simply superb. The deep red rock cliffs contrasted by the tufts of light green spinifex, and the beauty of the white bark of the Ghost Gum (Corymbia papuana) made this a picture of the rugged Australian bush beauty at it's best. Let our pictures give you a taste of what we enjoyed.
Hello Family!
ReplyDeleteInteresting reading, unfortunately I couldnt write back straight away, but John is here to help. All is fairly well. Elsie is fantastic and Jason is great as well. They are coming over tonight for a meal! Elsie was going to cook, and Mornay is going to join us as well. Tina is here, so we will have a big party! I hope the rest of the trip is fantastic, and I am enjoying reading your stories!
Love from Ma (who gives Sophie a big hug)
From John: Looks like you are having a great time! Enjoy it!
Hi guys, great photos. Mt Magnet sounds the same as when I was in year 6. Interesting and beautiful poetry written. It must be wonderful sleeping under all those stars. I hope Soaphie is surving without a shower for 3 days. I's sure she will. I have sent this once before and lost my last words, so its a little different this time. We are thinking of you all often, I haven't checked on kids yet, will do of course. Bethany's 21st Birthday next week, 9th June. If you get to a Sunday Times June 8th, she will be in the paper somewhere. Take Care, Love from the Reid Family.
